Schlecht Family Foundation Library Challenge Grant Doubled

A $15,000 challenge grant to the Capital Campaign for the New Glarus Library is now $30,000 due to the generous support of the Schlecht Family Foundation. The enthusiastic monetary response to the initial grant surpassed the goal quite quickly. As a result, the Schlecht Family Foundation has offered a second $15,000 grant to keep the momentum going until the December 31, 2019, deadline.

The total cost of the library project is $3.5 million. To date, over $1 million has been raised, with an additional $1 million committed by the village of New Glarus. The goal is to raise $1.5 million by...
