Belleville Wins Shut Out Against New Glarus

Belleville's Jillian Michaels slides safe into third against New Glarus.
The Belleville Lady Wildcats hosted the New Glarus Lady Knights on May 14th, winning 9-0.
With one out left in the 3rd inning, Ella Campbell had a base hit up the middle and then moved herself to 2nd on the relay in. Jillian Michaels then hit a double to score Campbell, and Jenna Shrader hit one up the middle to score Michaels. Bailey Legler then hit an RBI ground out to score Shrader.
The Lady Wildcats added 4 more runs in the 4th inning and another in the 6th to win the game.
For Belleville, Ella Campbell was 2x4 with 2 runs scored a stolen base and 1 RBI, Jillian Michaels was 2x2 with 3 runs scored a double, a stolen base and 2 RBI, Jenna Shrader was 1x2 with 2 runs scored, a stolen base and 1 RBI, Bailey Legler had a double and 2 RBI and Raina Nicholson, CC Grefsheim, Courtney Ehlert and Callie Everson each had 1 hit.
New Glarus had three hits – one each from Zoe Moen, Riley Keehn and Ellie Eichelkraut.
Belleville's Maddie Weber pitched 5 innings, striking out 8 and giving up 3 hits while Abby Winterburn pitched the final 2 innings, giving up zero runs.
Maci Carney pitched all 7 innings for New Glarus, striking out 1 and giving up 9 runs on 10 hits.
The Wildcats end conference play with a record of 6-4, in second place, and an overall record of 10-7, and they're seeded #4 for the regionals. Their game against the #5 seeded Clinton in the first round of regionals was moved up to May 20th, due to possible inclement weather on May 21st. The winner of that game will play the winner of the #1 Poynette vs #8 Brodhead game on May 23rd.
