The Buddy Bench at Monticello Schools. A Buddy Bench is an effort to encourage friendship and eliminate loneliness on the playground.
On Tuesday, April 11, at 1:00 p.m., the Monticello PTO is proud to welcome Tom Pease, a children's performer, for an Elementary School assembly focusing on anti-bullying. Mr. Pease performs all over the Midwest teaching children about self-esteem, bullying, and cultural diversity. His programs are highly entertaining and very participatory, including lots of movement and music. He will also be a part of the dedication of our school's Buddy Bench, a recent addition to the school playground.
A Buddy Bench is an effort to encourage friendship and eliminate loneliness on the playground. Jacob's SWAG Foundation graciously donated the bench to our school. Find out more about Buddy Benches at https://jacobsswag.org/jacobs-swag-gives-buddy-benches/.
