Battle of the Books was in full force throughout the New Glarus School District this past week. Students in grades 3-12 were competing in the statewide program designed to promote a love of reading among students. Battle of the Books encourages students to read a set of 20 books and remember information regarding plot, character and setting, along with the title and author of the book. Students have been preparing for their battles for months by reading, studying and completing practice tests. Finally, after many, many hard fought battles, the top teams have been declared the winners of their divisions and are moving on to the state tournament held online throughout the week of February 20th. Good luck to our final Battle of the Books teams.
