Mini-Golf For a Cure

New Glarus High School senior Brandon Winder has organized a fundraiser for the JDRF which will take place at Swissland Miniature Golf on Sunday, October 9th, from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. Swissland Miniature Golf is located at 700 STH 69 in New Glarus.
Mini-Golf For a Cure, Putting for 1's for Type 1, is a fundraiser for the JDRF, which is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their strength lies in their exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D. The JDRF's vision is a world without type 1 diabetes and their mission is accelerating life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.
"I have chosen to do a fundraiser for Type 1 Diabetes as my Service-Learning Project to fulfill my graduation requirement. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was 5-years-old; for several years my family and I were involved with JDRF by participating in fundraising walks to raise money for research. I would now like to support JDRF again with their efforts to funding researched to find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes," said Brandon.
After you enjoy a round of mini-golf, head across the highway to the Chalet Landhaus for food and drinks, including hot dogs donated by Hoesly's Meats of New Glarus.

Raffle tickets are also being sold, one for $1.00 or six for $5.00 and are available at the event – there are many fun prizes to win!
