New Glarus Girls Improve to 6-1

New Glarus Girls overpowered the team from Albany on Thursday, November 17th, winning 71 to 24.
On Thursday, December 17th, the New Glarus girls basketball team hosted Albany.
New Glarus took a commanding lead early on, and the half-time score was New Glarus 50, Albany 14.
Leading scorers for the Knights were Vanessa Narveson and McKinley Righter with 11 points apiece, Tamara Elzen scored 10 points, Devon Boll shot for 9 points and Sarah Rotar, Willow Lee and Julia Barnaby each had 8 points.
New Glarus won the game with 71 points to Albany's 24.
On Saturday, December 19th, the girls traveled to Wisconsin Dells to face Nekoosa.
The score was within 3 at half-time, New Glarus 27, Nekoosa 24.
New Glarus held Nekoosa to just 16 points in the second half, winning the game with a final score of New Glarus 61, Nekoosa 40.
Leading scorers against Nekoosa were sophomore Willow Lee with 16 points, which included 12 points in the second half, and McKinley Righter chipped in 9. Devon Boll contributed 8 points to the win.
Nekoosa's Jenna Baker scored 16 points for her team, Shannon Sorbo had 9 points for the game and Sam Bakovka contributed 6 points.
New Glarus is 6-1 in the Capitol South, and faced Columbus at home on December 22nd, and will travel to Dodgeville on December 29th.
