A Swearing In Ceremony was held for new Police Chief Jeff Sturdevant at the January 3, 2023, New Glarus Village Board meeting. A number of friends, family members and colleagues were in attendance for the ceremony. Village Clerk/Treasurer Kelsey Jenson administered the Oath of Office to Chief Sturdevant.
A Retirement Open House was held for outgoing Chief Burt Boldebuck on December 29, 2022. During the Open House, Sturdevant presented Boldebuck with a plaque thanking him for his years of service.
Also last week, Kevin Hendrickson was elected New Glarus Fire Chief. Hendrickson has been a member of the New Glarus Fire Department for nearly 20 years.
