Shirley Ann Matson Beeney, 62, of Georgetown, FL, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Putnam Community Medical Center in Palatka, FL, due to a brief non-COVID illness. Shirley was born in Washington Court House, Ohio, and grew up in New Glarus, Wisconsin.

She had been a resident of Georgetown for the past ten years, coming from Peoria, Illinois. She had worked as a forklift operator in a John Deere factory.

Preceding her in death were her father, Don A. Matson; and a brother, Don Allen Matson.

Surviving are her mother and step-father, Joan and Marvin Fosaaen of Georgetown, FL; a brother, Hugh M. Matson (Hae Kyung) of Phoenix, AZ; her ex-husband, John Beeney of Peoria, IL; and nieces and nephews in Phoenix, AZ.

Memorial services will be at a later date. Burial will be in New Glarus, WI, in the spring.
