Gempeler's Supermarket Earns Meat Awards

Ken Gempeler, Co-Owner and "Sausage Meister" at Gempeler's Supermarket, Monticello, holds a tray of freshly made Kalberwurst (veal sausage), which received the Reserve Grand Champion award in its category at the meat judging competition held during the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors (WAMP) annual convention in Middleton, WI, in late August. Behind Ken is Gempeler's ProSmoker smokehouse, used to make all of their smoked sausage products.

The exceptional quality of Alpine Boy™ sausage products, hand crafted by Gempeler's Supermarket, Monticello, Wis., was recognized at the 2021 convention of the Wisconsin Association of Meat Processors (WAMP) held at the Marriott Madison West in Middleton, August 27-29.

In the Meat Product Competition held during the convention, Gempeler's Alpine Boy entries received awards in six product categories.
